About Us
The Rescuers is an independent, citizen-centric digital platform created to connect communities, wildlife rescuers and organisations working for the protection and rescue of animals and wildlife.
Across India, people often struggle to find the right help when a snake, injured bird, wild animal or another animal is in distress. At the same time, thousands of dedicated rescuers work voluntarily to protect and rescue animals, often without a reliable digital identity, recognition or platform to connect with the communities they serve.
The Rescuers aims to bridge this gap.
Our mission is to reduce human-wildlife conflict, promote responsible coexistence with wildlife, create awareness about animal protection and make appropriate rescue assistance easier to access.
Whether it is a snake, an injured bird, a wild animal or any other creature in distress — every life matters.
We envision an India where citizens in every village, town and city can easily find a nearby Verified Rescuer when help is needed.
Rescue is not simply about capturing or relocating an animal. It is about safe rescue, responsible handling, human safety, wildlife protection and, wherever appropriate, safe rehabilitation or release.
Through awareness, technology and community participation, The Rescuers aims to contribute towards reducing Human-Wildlife Conflict and encouraging a more informed and compassionate approach towards wildlife and animals.
Across India, countless individuals dedicate their time, skills and resources to rescuing animals and wildlife.
These rescuers are often the first point of contact between citizens and animals in distress.
The Rescuers aims to provide rescuers with a credible digital identity, visibility within their local network, recognition of their work and a platform to connect with citizens who need their assistance.
Every genuine rescuer deserves recognition, trust and a platform that supports the work they do.
The Rescuers aims to strengthen coordination and collaboration among citizens, verified rescuers, animal-welfare organisations, NGOs and relevant government authorities.
Our journey may begin locally, but our vision is national.
Our long-term goal is to build a trusted network of wildlife and animal rescuers across states and districts of India, connect citizens with appropriate help and create a strong digital foundation for animal rescue and wildlife protection.
